Addison, Texas - There is a company in Addison that literally stands out above the rest– atop the 14th floor of the Town’s Millennium Tower building, is the London Broadcasting Company. Millennium Tower is the tallest and most recognizable building in Addison and London Broadcasting has boasted title of top floor tenant since 2012. So what does it feel like being on top of the world over here in the North Dallas Corridor? According to Phil Hurley, executive vice president and chief operating officer for London Broadcasting, it seems that the company is feeling more “Texas Born. Texas Proud,” than ever before.“ The creative environment that the Town of Addison promotes and develops in the community was what attracted the London Broadcasting Company to Addison,” states Hurley.
For the London Broadcasting Company, this quality was enticing, as it ties into their own office environment. London Broadcasting’s website makes a clear emphasis that they “[encourage] creativity. We believe that running a media company should be ‘fun.’” So, it’s no wonder they found a home in the North Dallas Corridor. Many Addison residents are familiar that the Town is home to a number of companies’ corporate locations and the city’s unique atmosphere only continues to foster the growth of more business in the area.
And yet, while creativity and innovation are attractive, Hurley seems to imply that it’s the great relationship with the Town of Addison that appears to make all the difference in the world. Since the day they took over the top floor space in Millennium Tower, the company’s relationship with the Town “is and has always been outstanding… they go out of their way to respond to our needs and suggestions. The Town really attempts to always say yes!” It’s not hard to feel at home in a community as open and accommodating as Addison.
Yes, whether it be the implementation of programs supporting the Town’s aspiring entrepreneurs or the construction of a water tower that strives to go beyond its basic function, Addison certainly does its very best to go above and beyond the needs of its businesses and residents. And while Addison is incredibly hospitable and accommodating to all their new businesses, there is still one other aspect that Hurley claims truly benefits the London Broadcasting Company – the Addison Airport.

The London Broadcasting Company’s motto, stated on their website, “Texas Born. Texas Proud. We Are Texas.” is fairly straight forward; London Broadcasting Company covers geographic locations across the great state of Texas. So, for “the largest mid-market broadcaster in the state” – serving approximately 9.9 million Texans – being on the top floor overlooking the land won’t suffice, they’ll need to travel it as well. “Location is especially beneficial to our needs to use Addison Airport to travel to our various television stations throughout Texas,” emphasizes the Executive Vice President.
Beneficial indeed, because traveling across Texas plays a large part in setting London Broadcasting Company apart from its competitors. While in the most literal sense London Broadcasting Company stands above the rest at 14 stories off the ground, it also stands out in respect to what type of business they conduct. “Another unique characteristic of London Broadcasting Company is that we are also a content company, owning a production, recording, music publishing, and artist management company,” Hurley states.
That’s right, if you aren’t familiar with London Broadcasting Company already, you may not know what their business fully encompasses. Both BE Music and Entertainment and Artists Management Partners are part of London Broadcasting Company, in addition to their production group, 41 Entertainment.
For a company that goes above and beyond the traditional Broadcasting group, London Broadcasting certainly plays to a similar tune as Addison. Like Addison, their unique, innovative and creative side is what creates the perfect partnership! Phil Hurley agrees, “We look forward to future opportunities in our business to work with the Town of Addison as partners in developing this community into the premier creative center for the DFW region. This is our permanent corporate home for years to come.”
So next time you’re walking through the Corridor and happen to catch a glimpse at the tallest building in the Town, you’ll know exactly which company occupies the 14th floor. A company that believes they’ve found a permanent home in the close community of Addison. Well folks, it appears as though London Broadcasting Company truly is Texan to the bone. Performing their duty as a media “watch dog” in an optimal location, on top of the Town, high above the rest, overlooking the Lone Star State.
