NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER

KYTX CBS19, in Tyler, Texas, has an opening for News Photographer. The ideal candidate will have one or more years of experience working as an in-the-field news photographer for a network affiliate. Candidates must be able to shoot and edit video (non-linear) for several newscasts per day and thrive under newsroom pressures and deadlines. Candidates must also work well unsupervised, possess a good driving record and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. REPORTER / INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER

I’m looking for a top-notch reporter who isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions and get his or her hands dirty. If that’s you, and you have some anchoring experience, too - read on. KYTX, the CBS affiliate in the Tyler-Longview DMA, is looking for a Reporter / Investigative Reporter. The right person will serve as a General Assignments Reporter with some possible anchoring duties. On top of that, he or she will serve as half of a joint investigative unit that is part of the station's partnership with Tyler’s local newspaper. This position requires a minimum of three years reporting and anchoring experience. This is not an entry-level position. Salary commensurate with experience. WEEKEND SPORTS ANCHOR/REPORTER

The right person for this job is a self-starter, has a professional attitude and wants to pitch the lead story everyday. A good driving record and the ability to lift 50 pounds is a must. VIDEO EDITOR

KYTX CBS19, in Tyler, Texas, is looking for a full time video editor. This position entails the downloading and editing of feed video from CBS Newspath, CNN and other sources. Editing of local video is also required. The right person for this job can work closely with show producers and must be a strong communicator. Experience with non-linear editing systems (Edius preferred, but not required) is a must.
