NEWSCAST DIRECTOR/PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

This full-time employee will direct weekend newscasts and provide other elements of production support as assigned. Will be required to meet deadlines and handle pressure well. Must be prompt and maintain high attendance. TV or school experience required. Clean driving record mandatory. Salary depends on experience. Will work weekends and 3 weekdays. ASSIGNMENTS MANAGER

12 News HD is looking for an energetic, aggressive, Assignments Manager for our competitive, thriving news operation. The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience working in a television news environment. The Assignments Manager will be responsible for making editorial and logistical decisions in a fast paced 24-hour news operation. This person will oversee all assignment desk operations. Candidates should have experience managing multiple employees, staff scheduling and special event planning. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or better in journalism with at least 5 years experience working in broadcast journalism. They will show good editorial judgment as well as strong logistical skills by being a motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
