Mr. Kornmeyer is a former Executive Vice President of Gaylord Entertainment Company. During his 30-year career at Gaylord, Mr. Kornmeyer served as President of Music, Media and Entertainment (Cable TV, broadcast television, radio, television production, record labels, publishing, artist management and the Grand Ole Opry) and included a term as Chief Financial Officer. Mergers, acquisitions and business development were a principle focus of Mr. Kornmeyer’s time at Gaylord. He was among the developers and management team of The Nashville Network (TNN) and Country Music Television (CMT). He was a principal negotiator in the sale of TNN and CMT, a $1.55 billion transaction between Gaylord and Westinghouse/CBS. Among his successes were the conversion of independent television stations in Dallas and Seattle to CBS affiliation and the resurrection of a bankrupt radio station to the number one position in the Nashville market. His accomplishments include building six international cable networks that operated in 20 countries and growing their distribution to over 15 million subscribers in less than two years.
Mr. Kornmeyer joined the LBC management team as CFO in 2008. Mr. Kornmeyer is responsible for all financial matters related to LBC and its media properties.
He graduated from the University of Tennessee-Nashville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He served for several years as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the BellSouth/Music City Championship PGA event that raised more than $2 million for local charities and served on the Leadership Board of the Franklin American Mortgage LPGA event, both benefiting the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Mr. Kornmeyer also served as Vice Chairman of Arts, Entertainment and Music for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce from 2001 to 2002 and President of Hillwood Country Club in 2007. Other industry memberships and service include the Country Music Association (CMA), Leadership Music and the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS).
